Marketplace Policies

These Marketplace Policies ("Policies") govern all transactions, listings, and conduct on the Crafty Corner LLC marketplace ("Marketplace"). By accessing or using the Marketplace — whether as a buyer, a visitor, or an independent artist seller — you agree to these Policies in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Crafty Corner LLC reserves the right to update these Policies at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Marketplace. Continued use of the Marketplace after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policies.

Eligible Products

The Marketplace is a curated platform for original, handmade, and artist-created goods. To be listed, a product must:

  • Be an original work created, designed, or substantially hand-crafted by the listing artist.
  • Accurately represent the item in all images, descriptions, dimensions, and materials.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including consumer product safety regulations.
  • Not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or design patents.

The following are not permitted on the Marketplace:

  • Mass-produced or commercially manufactured items not meaningfully transformed by the artist.
  • Reproductions, prints, or copies of another artist's work without documented licensing rights.
  • Items that are illegal to sell, ship, or possess in the United States.
  • Hazardous materials, weapons, or items that pose a safety risk.
  • Digital goods, NFTs, or purely downloadable products (unless expressly approved by Crafty Corner LLC).

Crafty Corner LLC reserves the right to remove any listing that does not meet these standards, with or without prior notice.

Pricing and Fees

Buyer Pricing

All prices displayed on the Marketplace are in U.S. dollars (USD) and are set by the individual artist seller. Prices include the cost of the item but exclude applicable sales tax and shipping, which are calculated at checkout.

Artist Commission

Independent artist sellers agree to the commission structure disclosed during onboarding and in their Artist Agreement. The current standard commission rate is 20% of the sale price (excluding shipping). Featured Artists operating under the Featured Artist Program are subject to the commission rate specified in their Featured Artist Membership agreement.

Crafty Corner LLC reserves the right to adjust commission rates with reasonable notice to affected artists. Changes will not apply retroactively to completed transactions.

Taxes

Crafty Corner LLC collects and remits applicable sales tax in jurisdictions where it is required to do so as a marketplace facilitator. Artists are solely responsible for any income tax obligations arising from their sales. Nothing in these Policies constitutes tax advice.

Orders and Payment

Placing an Order

By completing checkout, buyers enter into a purchase agreement with Crafty Corner LLC (for Crafty Corner Originals) or with the individual artist seller (for independent artist listings), facilitated through the Marketplace. All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

Payment Methods

The Marketplace accepts major credit and debit cards and other payment methods presented at checkout. All payments are processed securely through GoDaddy Payments. Crafty Corner LLC does not store full payment card details.

Order Confirmation

A confirmation email will be sent to the address provided at checkout. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us at [email protected] before assuming the order was not placed.

Shipping and Fulfillment

Fulfillment Responsibility

  • Crafty Corner Originals (items owned and sold by Crafty Corner LLC) are fulfilled directly by Crafty Corner LLC.
  • Independent Artist listings are fulfilled by the individual artist. Estimated processing and shipping times are set by the artist and displayed on the product listing.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination, item weight, and the artist's configured shipping rates. Crafty Corner LLC is not responsible for carrier delays, customs fees, or import duties for international shipments.

Risk of Loss

Title and risk of loss for purchased items pass to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. Crafty Corner LLC is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit, though we will work with buyers and artists to resolve shipping issues in good faith.

Returns and Refunds

Buyer Eligibility

Buyers may request a return within 14 days of confirmed delivery if the item:

  • Arrives materially different from its listing description or images.
  • Arrives damaged due to packaging or handling.
  • Is the wrong item.

Change-of-mind returns are accepted at the discretion of the individual artist seller. Buyers should review the return policy displayed on each product listing before purchasing.

How to Request a Return

Contact [email protected] with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the item as received. We will respond within 3 business days with next steps.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of Crafty Corner LLC receiving the returned item in its original condition. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective item.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Custom, commissioned, or personalized items made to the buyer's specifications.
  • Digital goods or downloadable content (where applicable).
  • Items that have been used, altered, or damaged after delivery.

Artist Seller Responsibilities

Independent artists selling on the Marketplace agree to:

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date listings including pricing, inventory, and shipping estimates.
  • Fulfill orders promptly and communicate proactively with buyers about delays.
  • Respond to buyer inquiries and return requests within 3 business days.
  • Comply with all applicable laws governing the sale of their products, including product safety, labeling, and intellectual property requirements.
  • Not engage in off-platform transactions with buyers introduced through the Marketplace.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in listing removal, account suspension, or termination from the Marketplace.

Prohibited Conduct

All Marketplace users — buyers and sellers — are prohibited from:

  • Circumventing the Marketplace checkout to conduct transactions outside the platform.
  • Leaving false, misleading, or retaliatory reviews.
  • Harassing, threatening, or engaging in discriminatory conduct toward any other user.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data.
  • Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access Marketplace content without written permission.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

Intellectual Property

Artists retain ownership of the intellectual property in their original works. By listing a product on the Marketplace, artists grant Crafty Corner LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display listing images and descriptions for the purpose of operating and promoting the Marketplace.

Buyers acquire ownership of the physical item purchased but do not acquire any intellectual property rights in the underlying artwork unless expressly granted in writing by the artist.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a buyer and an artist seller, both parties agree to first attempt resolution in good faith by contacting [email protected]. Crafty Corner LLC will act as a neutral facilitator and may, at its discretion, issue a refund or take other remedial action.

These Policies are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, consistent with our Terms of Use.
