While investigating an abandoned institution, she discovered an experimental chamber built around an extraordinary phenomenon: spoken language left microscopic impressions within certain materials long after the original sound had faded.
An accident inside the chamber permanently altered her sensory perception, allowing her to detect these residual impressions without technological assistance.
Initially, Vespera used her abilities to uncover forgotten histories and expose carefully concealed crimes. But years of listening to humanity’s betrayals, lies, and private confessions gradually destroyed her belief in personal innocence.
