Description
Everybody in town knows Emberwick House, even the ones who swear they’ve never been up the hill.
For most of the year it sits dark behind its iron fence, shutters closed, old trees bent toward it like they’re listening. Then October comes. One evening, without anyone seeing who lit them, every window in the house begins to glow, and every glowing pane wears a carved, crooked grin. The gate swings open on its own. Leaves skitter up the path as if they’ve been invited.
Kids dare each other to walk as far as the second bend. Nobody has made it to the porch. Those who’ve tried say the house doesn’t feel angry, only hungry for company, and that the music inside never quite stops.
Emberwick House on Hallows’ Eve is a Crafty Corner Originalsâ„¢ autumn piece painted in cold fog blues against a hundred pumpkin-orange windows. Twisted branches frame the manor, spiked wrought-iron fences pull you up the winding path, and fallen leaves scatter warm color across the foreground.
Hang it in an entryway for the season, over a mantel through the fall, or year-round in a home that’s never fully done with Halloween.
