Description
Beneath a sunlit tropical sea, Party in the Garden reveals a thriving underwater world bursting with color, movement, and life. Brilliant schools of tropical fish weave through crystal-blue water while sea turtles and delicate jellyfish drift among radiant beams of sunlight filtering down from the surface.
Below, an extraordinary coral garden fills the seafloor with layers of pink, orange, yellow, turquoise, and violet. Clownfish shelter among sweeping anemones as countless marine creatures move through the reef, turning every corner of the composition into something new to discover.
Bright, joyful, and richly detailed, Party in the Garden celebrates the coral reef as a living garden—one where color replaces flowers, fish become its visitors, and the entire ocean seems to have joined the celebration.
Once a year, the old sea turtle comes back to the reef where she hatched, and the reef throws her a party. Nobody remembers who started it. The angelfish handle the decorations, the yellow tangs do the dancing, and the clownfish refuse to leave their anemone but cheer loudly from the doorway. The jellyfish drift in late, as usual, glowing faintly pink. This year a young blue tang asked the turtle how old she was. She thought about it for a long time while the sunlight wobbled down through the water. Then she said she had stopped counting the years and started counting the parties, and there had been a great many of those.
