A violent rupture in Earth’s gravitational field has transformed a suspension bridge into the center of an impossible catastrophe. Automobiles tumble through the storm-darkened sky, enormous slabs of concrete hover above churning waters, and explosive columns of rain and river water surge upward instead of falling.
At the center of the destruction is Veyratha, a formidable heroine whose extraordinary abilities allow her to manipulate gravitational forces. Her elaborate black armor bears the intricate markings of a civilization that once studied the hidden architecture of the universe. With both arms extended toward the heavens, she attempts to restore order before the bridge and everyone trapped upon it are lost.
The Origin of Veyratha —
Once a gravitational physicist specializing in spatial anomalies, Veyratha survived the collapse of an experimental field generator that should have reduced her body to fragments. Instead, the accident permanently altered her relationship with gravity, allowing her to perceive and influence the invisible forces binding matter together.
Her abilities include gravitational redirection, localized weight cancellation, and the temporary stabilization of fractured gravitational fields. However, every adjustment requires her to redistribute gravitational stress elsewhere. Attempting to save too many objects simultaneously threatens to overwhelm her nervous system and trigger an even greater collapse.
The Scene —
The artwork captures Veyratha at the limits of her abilities. Her outstretched hands hold several vehicles in precarious suspension while shattered masonry, violent currents, and dislodged roadway fragments circle the expanding fracture.
