Northern Lightkeeper

Description

Standing watch over a frozen and remote coastline, Northern Lightkeeper captures the quiet power of a lighthouse beneath one of nature’s most extraordinary displays. Brilliant ribbons of green, turquoise, and violet aurora sweep across the night sky while snow falls gently over the rugged stone tower and ice-covered cliffs.
The warm glow of the lantern provides a striking contrast to the cold Arctic landscape, creating a welcoming point of light amid the darkness. Along the shoreline, luminous blue currents trace the rocks and water below, adding an almost otherworldly quality to the scene while echoing the movement of the northern lights overhead.
Both serene and mysterious, Northern Lightkeeper is a study in contrasts—warmth against winter, stone against sky, and a steadfast human beacon beneath the restless beauty of the aurora.

Keeper's log, eleventh night of snow. Lamp lit at four. Aurora green, then violet, then green again. The water along the north rocks is glowing blue for the third night running; the fishermen call it the drowned lanterns and won't come ashore after dark. Twelfth night. Blue light thicker. It follows the tide into the cove and curls around the rocks as if it's looking for something. Thirteenth night. Tried an experiment: dimmed the lamp for one minute. The blue water dimmed with it. Relit. It brightened. Fourteenth night. I have stopped writing this down for the inspectors. I think the sea is learning to keep the light with me.
