In a woodland library tucked inside the enormous trunk of an ancient tree, an unlikely pair has discovered that the best adventures sometimes begin without ever leaving home. A bright-eyed little girl and her mint-green dragon companion sit shoulder to shoulder over an enormous illustrated storybook, completely absorbed in a world of castles, stars, and faraway kingdoms.

The little dragon has a particular fascination with stories about his own kind. Unfortunately, he has also developed a habit of correcting them.

Today, the girl has reached a chapter describing a fearsome dragon guarding a castle full of treasure. Her scaly companion studies the illustration, tilts his head, and gives an indignant little snort. Dragons, he insists, do not spend all their time guarding gold.
